DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
Colophon
A few notes on how this site is built. It's a static site kept in Git — made to be simple to own and to last.
Design
Quiet, editorial pages: thin rules, deliberate asymmetry, and a single restrained terracotta accent.
Typography
Newsreader carries the headings and long-form text, Instrument Sans handles the interface, and IBM Plex Mono is kept for small metadata. All three are self-hosted.
Technology
Astro builds the public pages into static HTML. The content lives in Git, is edited through Decap CMS, and is validated before anything goes live.
Icons and identity
Interface icons come from Phosphor. The AR/146 Index Cut mark is a local vector that follows the light or dark theme.
Accessibility
Built with semantic HTML, full keyboard support, visible focus, reduced-motion support, and layouts that stay readable as you zoom or change screen size.
